    " Squirrel offers first aid! "

     The recently appointed manager of The Squirrel, Sheet Road, Ludlow has kindly offered to help raise funds for Ludlow Community Hospital in conjunction with The League of Friends.

     "NEW BLOOD"  is needed by the League of Friends of Ludlow Hospital.

    The group that has championed health care in Ludlow over the past two decades needs a transfusion of "new blood" if it is to continue the work into the future.

  • Father Christmas surprises Ludlow patients!

  • On Friday 25th October  Ludlow Male Voice Choir entertained their audience at Ludlow Brewery and part of the proceeds of their concert have been donated to The League of Friends of Ludlow Hospital.



  • We were privileged on Friday 18th January to host a visit to Ludlow Hospital by The High Sheriff of Shropshire, Rhoderick Swire DL.   A chance meeting when he expressed a wish to see the work of The League of Friends enabled us to put together a formal and comprehensive visit when he could meet with The League Committee to see all the purchases we had made in recent years and to meet also the wonderful NHS staff.

  • We are delighted with the latest fundraising contribution of a cheque for an amazing £3,000, raised by the Richards Castle Soap Box Derby. 


     This is a major contribution towards the latest RITA equipment which has just been delivered. 

  • Local society funds The League.

    A most welcome cheque for £2096.56 was recently presented by founder member Cliff Newman to League Chairman Peter Corfield.

    We are now over half way through the Future Fit public consultation period, when for once there is a golden opportunity for everyone to express their views on the long-term plans for healthcare in Shropshire.

  •  May 2019 - Nationwide Building Society staff sponsor LoF.

    Staff at Nationwide Building Society in the Bull Ring, Ludlow,  very kindly offered to donate to The League of Friends the proceeds of two fundraising events which they staged in May and June.
