    On Friday 25th October  Ludlow Male Voice Choir will be singing at Ludlow Brewery and the proceeds of their concert will be donated to The League of Friends of Ludlow Hospital.

    Do come and support this talented Choir in the congenial surroundings of Ludlow Brewery.

  • We are delighted with our latest fundraising contribution of a cheque for an amazing £3,000, raised by the Richards Castle Soap Box Derby.

    Once again a gallant group of volunteers appeared on the streets of Ludlow for a fundraising BEDPUSH, in aid of the LoF,  to be supported by a generous public and a furry friend from Orvis!

    Staff at Nationwide Building Society in the Bull Ring, Ludlow,  very kindly offered to donate to The League of Friends the proceeds of two fundraising events which they staged in May and June.

    We are now over half way through the Future Fit public consultation period, when for once there is a golden opportunity for everyone to express their views on the long-term plans for healthcare in Shropshire.

  •  Staff and patients at Ludlow Hospital had a Good Friday surprise when League of Friends Trustees Peter and Gloria Corfield handed out Easter Eggs, Easter Cards and diabetic chocolate to Dinham Ward, the Renal Dialysis Unit, Outpatient Clinic and the Minor Injuries Unit.  

  • IN SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY HOSPITALS

  • We were privileged on Friday 18th January to host a visit to Ludlow Hospital by The High Sheriff of Shropshire, Rhoderick Swire DL.   A chance meeting when he expressed a wish to see the work of The League of Friends enabled us to put together a formal and comprehensive visit when he could meet with The League Committee to see all the purchases we had made in recent years and to meet also the wonderful NHS staff.

  • The x-ray equipment at Ludlow Hospital has been renewed at a cost of £158,000, donated by The Hospital League of Friends. The new installation was agreed by The League after the Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust authorised and completed extensive modernisation of the building which housed the department.
